Silver Medal AND 4 Star Riverby Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010 receved 91 points from Sam Kim, Wine Orbit: "The wine is fragrant and vibrant showing classic herbaceous characters with ripe feijoa and passionfruit notes. It's succulent and lively on the palate showing excellent weight and harmony, leading to a lingering crisp finish. The wine is intensely flavoured for immediate drinking, but it is well structured and balanced, suggesting it will evolve nicely too. At its best: now to 2014."
The vibrant, aromatic Alexia Wairarapa Sauvignon Blanc 2010 received 4 Stars from Winestate Magazine has flavours of gooseberry and limes, with a lively finish. We love to drink it with seafood and pasta dishes. Michael Cooper (Winestate) said last year: "From Jane Cooper, winemaker at Matahiwi, the 2010 vintage is ripely scented and smooth, with passionfruit and lime flavours, showing excellent freshness, delicacy and depth. It’s already delicious."
We have the delicious Three Trees Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012, which was awarded 4 Stars by TiZwine.com. It's made by top New Zealand winemaker Alan McCorkindale! TiZwine.com recently said, "The first 2012 sauvignon that we have tried and if this is the standard then it is a much better vintage than has been predicted. The wine has a bright, vibrant and fruity nose and a palate of plentiful tropical fruit flavours allied to a firm acidity. Delicious now and should improve in the coming months."
