The Manu Sauvignon Blanc 2010 is fruit forward, bright, and lively. In the Los Angeles Wine & Spirits Competition 2011 it won a Silver Medal. And in the San Francisco International Wine Competition 2011 it picked up Bronze. This is a classic Marlborough style Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of citrus, herbs, and tropical fruits. The sweet herbs follow through to the palate supported by gooseberry and passionfruit flavours. A beautifully balanced and refreshing finish. Ideally suited to seafood dishes such as scallops or oysters, preferably raw. The bright acidity will refresh the palate even in the presence of creamy sauces. These flavours compliment Ceviche rather well.

 

The Skylark Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011 shows lifted tropical notes of guava balanced by blackcurrant bud and fresh thyme characters. The palate is full with sufficient weight and the underlying flinty minerality typical of the Seaview Vineyard which delivers a long, dry and crisp finish. There is no more idyllic sound in summer than the skylark singing as it hovers in a cloudless blue sky above our ripening vines. Its pure playful song is perfectly captured in the vibrant flavours of the Skylark wines.

 

The Flying Mouton Sauvignon Blanc 2009 is a multiple Medal winning Hawkes Bay Sauvignon Blanc. It's made by the boutique Osawa wines. Bronze New Zealand International Wine Show 2010, Bronze Royal Easter Show 2010.
