This is the Putiki Bay Waiheke Island Malbec 2008. The 2006 vintage proved so popular on GrabOne Bottle that we've sourced this 2008 version for you!

Produced entirely from hand picked Malbec Grapes grown at Putiki Bay, Waiheke Island. A deeply coloured, well balanced & medium bodied wine filled with gamey and earthy flavours. Matured in oak for 10 months.

Putiki Bay Vineyard was a small enterprise of 5 Hectacres located on the prime grape growing area of Waiheke Island, but it has now closed its doors. This idyllic coastal site near Auckland was a climate perfect for growing red wine grapes. Their aim was to produce low volume wines of top quality. Their wines were always a huge hit at the Devonport Wine & Food festival.

Throughout all vineyard and winery practices the focus was wholely on quality rather than merely quantity. Such commitment to quality, together with Waiheke Island's fantastic climate, allowed the vines to ripen the grapes to maximum levels thus ensuring all Putiki Bay wines deliver maximum flavour and enjoyment.
