WineNZ Magazine in association with ViNtellect invites you to attend a "Regional Differences in NZ Pinot Noir" Masterclass in Auckland (Thursday 23 August 6.30pm - 8:30pm) with renowned Master of Wine Bob Campbell. Tickets are usually $119, today we have some available for our Grabbies at only $69.
The two-hour tutored tasting by Bob Campbell MW explores the regional differences of Pinot Noir by tasting two wines from each of the five wine regions; Martinborough, Marlborough, Nelson, Waipara and Central Otago. Although the focus is on regionality Bob will also talk about the impact of weather and winemaking in an effort to understand more about the world’s most fascinating, and at times frustrating, wine.
Wines that will be tasted are:
MARTINBOROUGH: Martinborough Vineyard Pinot Noir 2010 & Kusuda Pinot Noir 2010
MARLBOROUGH: Villa Maria Southern Clays Pinot Noir 2010 & Dog Point Pinot Noir 2010
NELSON: Woollaston Nelson Pinot Noir 2010 & Neudorf Moutere Pinot Noir 2010
WAIPARA: Greystone Pinot Noir 2010 & Mountford Estate Pinot Noir 2009
CENTRAL OTAGO: Quartz Reef Pinot Noir 2011 & Rockburn Pinot Noir 2010
The course is suitable for all wine lovers, you don't need to be an expert or have any prior knowledge of Pinot Noir. But even the experts are bound to learn something new.
Thursday 23 August 6.30pm - 8:30pm at Big Picture Wine, Auckland Fish Market, 22 Jellicoe Street, Freemans Bay. By purchasing this deal, your name will be added to the door list, as will the number of extra people you're bringing if you purchase more than one ticket.
