If you're a fan of great value red wines, then you should be away laughing as we are offering three of our favourites for just $11.50 per bottle! Included in this mixed case are two bottles of Karaka Point Syrah 2009, two bottles of Alexia by Jane Cooper Hawkes Bay Merlot 2009 and two bottles of Waimarie Muriwai 2011.
The Karaka Point Syrah 2009 is a supple and peppery Syrah with a silken smooth texture. Unusual and distinctive wine with a savoury, nutty character adding extra interest to red berry, plum, floral and herbs. Syrah grows particularly well in the Auckland area and this is typical of what the region can produce. Karaka Point Vineyard was established in 1994 by the late Mik Martin, wife Anne and their three daughters, the Martin family continue to produce award winning wines of unique character and fine quality reflecting the loving nurturing of the vines from budburst to harvest.
The Alexia by Jane Cooper Hawkes Bay Merlot 2009 is a deep brick red colour. Cassis and ripe brambly fruits are supported by a shot of sweet cedary oak. On the palate these dark, ripe fruit characters combine with spicy oak, chocolate and savoury leather flavors. Enjoy with full-flavoured meat dishes and hot seasonal vegetables.
Ruby red in colour, the Waimarie Muriwai 2011 has a bouquet of ripe berries and savoury aromas and is not being sold anywhere else. The 2011 Cabernet Merlot predominant blend captures flavours of blackberries and blackcurrants, which are layered with earthy characters, with fine tannins. Named after the wild West Coast beach, Muriwai, that starts near Waimauku and stretches up to the Kaipara Heads in the North. Stephen Nobilo, third generation winemaker, continues a family heritage of over seventy years of winemaking in New Zealand.
This is an offer too good to miss!
