The Diamond Ridge Merlot Cabernet Franc Malbec 2008 is a stunning merlot predominant Bordeaux blend that is known as a very versatile food wine. You can confidently pair it with almost any of your favourite dishes, but it goes especially well salty, rich foods. It is a deep crimson colour, and sweet plum and blackberry aromas rise out of the glass. Delicate flavours of red and black currants are assisted by an impression of fine and smooth oak. A smooth wine with a refreshing texture and a "have another glass" finish.

The Monk Road Merlot Cabernets Malbec 2005  is made from a classic Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. The high proportions of Merlot and Malbec made this a very vibrant and fruity wine with rich plum and raspberry flavours.

The Maximus Merlot Malbec 2011 comes from Mahurangi River Winery in Matakana, and is produced from hand-picked estate grown Merlot and Malbec grapes. The wine is carefully aged in french and american oak barriques. The Estate's owners devote their energies to producing top quality wines from ‘Terroir to Table’. Match this Bordeaux style blend with roast lamb as the wine’s fruit flavours will enhance the texture and flavour of the meat and contrast well with the saltiness of the gravy.
